About Me

I am a textile artist with over twenty years of felt making experience. In 2014, my final year of a Foundation Degree in Stitched Textiles at Eastleigh College, validated by Winchester University, I researched new methods into growing fabric from bacterial cellulose. I am now continuing to work with the ‘fabric’ produced and discover its new uses and possibilities.  Do stay and watch the highs and the lows of the next few months…and years!

  1. Hi there,
My name is Olivia. I’m the Communications Manager at The Edge, a division of the State Library of Queensland, in Australia!
I thought I would drop you a line to share some of the things we are working on here! Things like Kombucha shoes and clothes! We have a large wet lab here and have just put pounds and pounds of Kombucha to rest while we shift some spaces.
This is more of a ‘hello’ and ‘love what you’re doing’ email than anything else.
Here’s a link to a few stories on our website: http://edgeqld.org.au/?s=kombucha&submit&doing

Enjoy the rest of your week.

    Regards
    Olivia
